File Transfer Protocol

WS_FTP LE File Transfer Protocol (FTP), is a service which allows you to connect to a remote host on the Internet by using an FTP program on your local machine. You can browse through the files available on that computer, and then download or upload files. We recommend that you download WS_FTP LE.

If you are a Mac User, please download FETCH.

To FTP you must have your IP Address, your Login and your Password. Press the connect button and you will get the "Session Profile Screen".

  • Under "hostname", either put your domain in (ftp.yourdomain.com), or your IP Address (204.140.220.XX)
  • Under "UserID", put in your Login.
  • Put in your Password.
  • If you don't want to re-enter your password each time you use FTP, check the "save password" box.
  • Click Save to save this configuration for future FTP use.
  • Click OK to start FTP.

NOTE - Name the file that you want to have be your Homepage as "index.htm". All the rest of your pages can be called anything you want, for your own reference.
